Before the AlphaTrack mission trip, I told God that I want to experience a first hand healing miracle, rather then hear it over the pulpit. God did just that! During the MIT, I prayed for an old lady who couldn’t walk without pain for well over a year. After the prayer, I told the old lady that in order to know that the prayer worked and my God is the real God, I told her that she must stand up and walk. She was reluctant at first but the translator helped to edge her on. After a while, she stood up and tried walking. The first few steps were a test of my faith as well. I knew in my heart that God is a God of miracles but my mind told me that she was already so old, so she might still feel pain. To my amazement, not only did she walk without any pain, she walked more then the usual 5-6 testing steps. She took about 20 steps! I had a personal breakthrough to believe for miracles to happen.

All through my life I attended courses/training that dealt with my personal growth and personal development. These courses/training touched my head knowledge and indeed this knowledge made me puff up. Attending AlphaTrack was a total different experience in my life. After 20 years of working life, the 3-month full time training in doing God‘s work, serving in His Kingdom and lingering in His presence was an experience which could not be exchanged with 3 month salary package. Spending time knowing God’s heartbeat was the greater gain I had received in the 90 days of my track experience.
One thing that God did to me in the track was that He touched my heart and dealt generously with my heart issues which was my self-worth. This had been a battle within me for years. I needed to take out a bit of myself in order for God to fill me up with more of Him. God allowed me to realize that my self-worth was in Him and not in my achievement and success. This ‘tinkling’ reminder that He put in me allowed me to continue this life journey with confidence in Him and His Kingdom.

Every single day of the Alpha Track has been a challenge. The curriculum is and has been well-balanced, coupled with dedicated lecturers who aid in making every subject of learning engaging and interesting. Additionally, the Local Harvest Outreach ( LHO ) has instilled within me a sense of urgency to spread the Good News throughout our neighborhoods. At every LHO, God removed the roughness of my heart and mindset while coating me with an unquantifiable amount of grace and compassion.

Joining this AlphaTrack batch has been such a blessing to me. I have gained much confidence in speaking in front of people and leading worship. I have also grown tremendously in faith and in my walk with God. My fellow AlphaTrackers have also helped me to develop my skills, strengths and also overcome my weaknesses. Most importantly, I regained my passion to share the gospel and live out Christ-likeness despite persecutions. Alpha Track has played a big role in changing my perspective towards God and anchoring my faith firmly in Christ Jesus.
