Distinctive feel, iconic design

The architecture of Trinity@Paya Lebar is the brainchild of DP Architects, the professionals behind Dubai Mall (one of the largest malls in the world), The New Majestic Hotel and the revitalised Wisma Atria.

Its distinctive facade and iconic design is visible from Paya Lebar Road. The design of the complex was inspired by the mountainous terrain of the land Jesus walked. Some of the most dramatic events in the Old to New Testaments took place on the hills.

The backdrop of the divine drama was an arid, bold and majestic landscape. To bring out the dramatic land form, the architects created a random pattern with slanting and vertical planes of dark stones, light stones and tinted glass. The eventual look is one of art and architecture combined with an air of awe and unpredictability.

Mr Tai Lee Siang, director of DP Architects, says, “From an architectural point of view, this building is unique in look and offers a sense of discovery and an element of surprise. My desire is for this complex to tell a story – the gospel story – in a silent way, through the buildings, the landscape and the interior. It is also my wish that the building will hopefully be like a Bible, which one can read over and over again and never fail to learn something new.
